# Letter from the Founders

Our big journey in the cryptocurrency universe was not a lovely holiday trip but a complicated experience. In 2020, one of us had a cruel wake-up call when a centralized exchange locked accounts without warning, blocked funds, and responded to inquiries with polite but general phrases. That forced us to step back and ask why this keeps happening. People who believe in blockchain technology are paying a higher price for its failures, right?

The deeper we looked, the more we realized how far things had strayed from the original promise of cryptocurrency. What started as a movement for financial freedom and personal control has been turned upside down by systems built to favor a few at the expense of everyone else. Centralized platforms demand trust but often don’t deserve it. Meanwhile, regular users are left out—scammed by shady projects or blocked from tools and opportunities only the big players can afford.
